St. Paul Medical Center of the S. Bay physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants are American Board Certified and will provide personalized care to you and your family. Our main focus is to properly diagnose your symptoms so that good health and well-being can be maintained. We want to create a sense of family at our practice; we want you to be part of our family.

Bang Vu Pham, MD

Bang Vu Pham, M.D., is American Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Pham graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Saigon, S. Vietnam, and completed his internship and residency at the Mount Sinai Hospital Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, in 1984. Dr. Pham is one of the founders of St. Paul Medical Center in 1985, and has been an active practitioner at the clinic for the past 25 years.
Dr. Pham became a physician because he wanted to help people, save lives, and reduce pain. During his free time, Dr. Pham plays tennis, reads and writes memoirs, does gardening, and travels with his wife and his two daughters Dahlia and Darissa.

Ba N. Tran, MD

Ba N. Tran, M.D., is American Board Certified in Pediatrics. Dr. Tran completed his residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, in 1984. He finished his fellowship in Pediatrics Neonatology at Rush Presbyterian Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, in 1986. Dr. Tran graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Saigon, S. Vietnam in 1970. He has published a number of research abstracts in English and in French, including Correlation of Pneumogram (PCG) Data with Indices of Maturity 1986; Theophyllin/Caffeine Pharmacokinetics in Premature Infants 1986; Pleuresies Purulentes Chez Les Nourissons Dans Un Service de Pediatrie a Saigon, Bulletin de la Societe de Pathologie Exotique 1972.
Dr. Tran believes he is a good listener to his patients and likes to work with them in making decisions for their medical care plan. His main hobby is photography.

Dat Q. Nguyen, MD

Dat Q. Nguyen, M.D., is American Board Eligible in Internal Medicine. Dr. Nguyen obtained his Bachelor of Science degree at University of California, Irvine with Phi Beta Kappa and Cum Laude Graduate awards. He completed his intership and residency in Internal Medicine at the UCI/ Long Beach Medical Center in 1994. Dr. Nguyen graduated from the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York in 1992.

Dr. Nguyen became a physician because of his compassion in helping people and in listening to their medical needs. During his free time, Dr. Nguyen enjoys playing basketball with his brothers and listening to classical music.
